November 2015:

• As of November 2015, total BIR collection amounted to PhP1.326 trillion or 8.76% higher than the collection of the same period the previous year and almost leveled with the full year 2014 collection of PhP1.335 trillion.  

  Did you know that the BIR reached its trillion-collection mark in 2012? This happened under the leadership of Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto-Henares when the Bureau was able to collect a total of PhP1.06 trillion.  Meanwhile, the billion-collection mark was reached way back in 1963 under then Commissioner Jose B. Lingad when  a total of PhP1.13 billion was collected.  And finally, did you know that the initial tax collection was only PhP5.20 million in 1905 under then Collector John S. Hord.

October 2015:

• As of October 2015, total BIR collection amounted to PhP1.19 trillion or 8.41% higher than the collection of the same period last year.  In 2014, total BIR collection amounted to PhP1.33 trillion.
